Ah but it is a special bike. This bike takes me the 8.3 miles from the house to the Caltrain station in San Jose.
The route. After a couple of practice runs to the station and back, I finally did it for reals, yesterday! Was a bit knackered by the time I got to the train but still I managed it in the Google approved 45 minutes. Even if I did get passed up by old men on rickety “boneshakers” en route.
The route has a couple of scary parts, crossing 101 at 1st street being one and crossing 101 on Holly going from the San Carlos Caltrain over to EA being the other. It however has a very cool section along the Guadalupe river. Although that part would be me awesome if it didn’t have a gravel track in sections that has me a little concerned about sliding and falling off.
Maybe I will share with you me in my cycling garb, or maybe I would like to keep you all as friends, so maybe not!
